Archives > Palace Diner This is a now-defunct diner in New York City right off Union Square. I did these drawings over a period of about 2 months, going back every week or so. This was an assignment for the Location Drawing class, and I never got over being self-conscious while drawing there. That's why these drawings are all about 6" x 9", so I could hold the paper in my lap while drawing, pretending to be just another patron. But this is New York -- like anybody cared. These are all done in charcoal and ink wash on paper. All original drawings are $75 each (not including taxes and shipping), unless otherwise indicated. |
